Creating your own home business

Before you begin spending time on a home business or any business for that matter, you need to decide what is motivating you. If the answer to that question is money for nothing or get paid while I watch the game (or soaps or whatever) on tv then you might want to change your thinking that any business is right for you.

Not that you can’t make money with a home business – and some of them have an easier time schedule than most – but you don’t get anything for free.

Take this blog, for example. It’s my 5th blog and the other 4 are producing income in different niches. This is my current strategy with this blog.

• Traffic. Some bought, highly targetted, and keep a steady stream of it.
• Keywords. I researched keywords looking for words that fall within my established keyword parameters (more on that in a separate blog post)
• Backlinks. Creating backlinks will help to increase my ranking and get me more organic traffic.
• Stay on topic.
• Write an article every day or so.

None of this just “happens”. It takes planning and time.
